The AOCR Visiting Professor Program offers a unique opportunity for residents in osteopathic training programs to benefit from the knowledge and expertise of members previously or currently involved in academics or members who have special expertise in the field of radiology. It is a resource available to all osteopathic residency training programs.
How to schedule:
The Program Director will email his/her request and contact information to Mary Lentz at firstname.lastname@example.org. AOCR staff will forward the request to the visiting professor with a request to contact the program within 10 days to coordinate transportation, lodging, and a lecture schedule. The Program Director will notify the AOCR when a date has been set.
The AOCR Visiting Professor will visit a program at its request. The program, in coordination with the professor, will prepare a schedule of lectures that will complement the existing training schedule and avoid any disruption. For example, the professor could lecture at scheduled daily conferences (7am, Noon, 5pm) as well as participate in viewbox teaching over a series of 2 to 3 days. Another possibility is a concentrated schedule on Saturday. The program may request lectures on specific topics relating to the professor's expertise.
The residency program is responsible for the travel and lodging expenses of the Visiting Professor and assisting in making all reservations.
